Students

Students from The College School see the outside world as their classroom and see learning as something that takes place beyond school hours.  They become life-long learners, stewards of their environments and communities. Along with excelling in the core academic subjects, they develop skills and passions that allow them to make real impacts in their worlds for both today and for the future.  They are creative, confident, and competent young people who know how to lead, how to solve problems, collaborate, analyze, and clearly communicate.

Demographics

Our 260 Students, preschool through eighth grade, come to us from 40 St. Louis area zip codes.  Along with varied zip-codes, 20% of our population are students of color, our families hold varied political and religious beliefs, differing socio-economic status, and perspectives on the world. Common threads are commitment to stewardship, life long learning, and authentic exploration and experiential education.

Graduates

Our graduates leave TCS prepared for their high school careers. In a recent alumni survey, 95% of respondents strongly agreed that The College School prepared them well for their futures.  In general, our graduates are able to attend the high school of their choice and of best fit. On average, one-third of our graduates attend Independent Secondary Schools (John Burroughs, MICDS, Whitfield), one-third attend Parochial High Schools (SLUH, Nerinx, Cor Jesu, CBC) and another one-third enroll in public high schools (Clayton, Ladue, Webster, Kirkwood primarily).
